A thought that has given me pause...

After what has happened today, my idea of finding someone safe has been challenged. When you hear of someone disappearing, your first thought and prayer is that they are found safe. But what exactly does safe mean? Does safe mean alive? Does safe mean mentally stable and in their right mind? Does safe mean unharmed physically? Or does safe mean - God, I leave the definition of "safe" up to you, and can recognize that Your child is safe, in the best sense of the word, when they have been found, passed away, safe from the hurt and harm that this world can inflict on them?

For the family of Patrick Freeman, I pray that they can reconcile their pain to the fact that Patrick was indeed found to be safe. Safe in the arms of God, where no pain, no heartache, no trials or struggles, and no sickness will ever find him again. I pray that God will give them peace in this time of turmoil. And may everyone that reads this remember that God's definitions are sometimes totally different than what we comprehend. Never take today for granted.
