For months now, I have been waiting for a friend of mine to come to Florida for vacation. So, Monday, after waking up at 4:45 in the morning for work, I ran home and grabbed my bags and hit the road to Destin. On the way, I passed many wonderful places that I would have loved to stop and visit and take pictures. Next time, I will be stopping and taking my time…but this time, the only purpose was to see my friend. Since most of my readers don’t live in Florida, let me take a moment to explain…from where I live to Destin is a five hour drive. That’s a LONG drive to make alone…and I came really close to falling asleep a few times. Thankfully, I made it in great time and met up with my aunt.
The next day I met up with my friend and we spent several lovely hours catching up and hanging out. I assure you, I didn’t want to leave. The beach was beautiful and the conversation lively and entertaining. The friendship that was made over 9 years ago has continued and it can be assumed that the friendship will go on forever.
