"Sometimes the unexplained can define you, sometimes silence is the only sound..."

Thanks to Mrs. Bucks of Hand Made Heart Felt for the inspiration for this post...She was commenting on her Tuesday Tunes picks for this week...a favorite band of mine - Nickel Creek!!! They have so many amazing songs, that I find it hard to narrow down to a few the ones I consider my favorite...so, I will list three...

First off, the song from which I pulled the title of this post, a line from this song..."Hanging By A Thread." To me, it's a love song... "with you here, baby, I am strong, no sign of weakness...with you gone, baby, I am hanging by a thread." Our strength is interdependent on the ones we love. When they are there, we are made stronger by their presence. When they are gone, we are left a little frayed and a part of us is snapped...

Next, "This Side." Frankly, I love this song..."You dream in colors that have never been made, you imagine songs that have never been played. They will try to buy you in your mind, but only the curious have something to find..." Don't limit yourself to the dreams that others think you should reach. Find the dreams you have and follow them. Be curious and see where you can go!



Lastly, the song that means the most to me. My best friend got married a few years ago and moved to Mexico to be with her family. I honestly didn't know if I would ever see her again. So I made her a CD with this song and let her know that no matter what, where or when, I would always be there for her, on the other end of the phone, email, text...whatever. And although we don't talk as often as we would both like, I'm still there for her. It's been almost five years...still my best friend. <3 you, Amanda!!! Oh, yeah, you're probably wondering what song now...well, that would be "When You Come Back Down."

And finally, a song that I really do love and almost forgot about..."Tomorrow Is A Long Time"
