So I haven't posted a favorite tunes post in a long time. The group I am featuring in this post is all thanks to the discovery by my dad...
Could you imagine being a teenager and having the vocal chops comparable to those of Pavoratti, Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban??? For Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio, that's exactly what has happened to them. Piero, the oldest of the three is only 17, but his vocal maturity makes it impossible to tell, with your eyes closed, if he really is 17 or 30. Gianluca and Ignazio are both 16, but their potential is off the charts. They barely speak English, but their talent speaks for itself. The group name is "Il Volo," which is Italian for flight...and trust me, you feel like you are soaring when you listen to each one individually sing. I cannot recommend this group high enough. They are simply incredible and the careers that these young men are about to have will be well worth watching.
From the album, I would have to say it's hard to pick a favorite. The songs are all wonderful...although, "Il Mondo" - the second video, has to be my favorite. The first video is "O Sole Mio" as performed live on American Idol.
