Life isn't easy...if it was, we'd never have anything to tell the grandchildren...

In the last few months, life hasn't been the easiest to deal with. Being an adult and dealing with all the pressures of work, bills, school and balancing relationships can be like walking a tight rope in the circus. One wrong move, and you're in the net. It's been challenging some days, just getting up in the morning. But one day, I'll look back and see what wonderful things have come from all my efforts. I'll be able to say it was all worth it, and I'm only stronger because of what I've come through. I like to remember a quote by Sarah Dessen during times like these - "Anyone can hide. Facing up to things, working through them, that's what makes you strong." Sometimes the hardest part is standing there looking at the problem square in the face, knowing that it's not going away until you figure it out.

It also helps, hearing what other people have or are going through. It reminds me of how trivial my problems are. It also makes me thankful for the problems I have. Things can always get worse, but knowing that no matter what, God is on my side, I have confidence that He alone will bring me through.

So when you have a hard day, look at the person on the left or right of you, and say a little prayer for them. They'll appreciate it, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have made a difference and they didn't even know it. And while you're saying that little prayer for them, say one for me, and I'll say one for you.
