"Dream Big" ~ Ryan Shupe & The Rubber Band

There are days when it's hard to face the mistakes in the past and move on to a bright new future. Sometimes it can be hard to imagine that you even have a future, based on what's occurred in your past. Any time I feel like that, I listen to this song, and I realize that it's ok to have dreams and to pursue them. Who knows, one day the dream I dream today might come true. So hold your head up high, and don't be afraid to dream big. I look forward to see the great things that will come, not only from my dreams, but also from yours!

"Dream Big"

When you cry, be sure to dry your eyes
'Cause better days are sure to come
And when you smile, be sure to smile wide
And don't let them know that they have won
And when you walk, walk with pride
Don't show the hurt inside,
Because the pain will soon be gone...

Chorus:
And when you dream, dream big
As big as the ocean blue
When you dream it might come true
When you dream, dream big...

And when you laugh, laugh out loud
'Cause it will carry all your cares away.
And when you see, see the beauty
All around and in yourself
And it will help you feel ok.
And when you pray, pray for strength
To help you carry on when the troubles come your way...

Chorus

And when you laugh, be sure to laugh out loud
'Cause it will carry all your cares away
And when you see, see the beauty
All around and in yourself
And it will help you feel ok.
And when you pray, pray for strength
To help you carry on when the troubles come your way...

Chorus

  1. Ruth, I am just catching up on all your posts! I really liked this one, because it is true and I have felt the same way on many occasions. Keep dreaming. I once told a friend of mine, God wouldn't place the desire in your heart just to tease you. It may be a hard road but it is one that you can make. For He never puts on us more than we can bear! How encouraging is that??!!
What are some of your dreams?

  2. Thanks, Lindsey! Some of my dreams include getting a masters degree, become a librarian, travel to Ireland, England and other European countries, write and publish a novel, maybe even write a screen play that gets turned into a movie. I know that most of that won't ever happen, what are the use of dreams and goals if you can't have something to strive for??
